How to distinguish single screw, double screw and triple screw pumps:
As the name implies, a single-screw pump has only one screw in the pump. Following the name of the Chinese screw pump industry, the screw of a single screw pump is called a rotor, and the screw bush is called a stator. The robot driven by the external power source meshes with the stator to form a sealed chamber that separates the suction chamber from the discharge chamber so that the pump can work effectively.
At present, single-screw pumps produced in various countries in the world, the meshing pairs of the rotor and the stator, the vast majority of products are still single-head spiral rotor and double-head spiral stator mesh. In recent decades, some foreign companies have developed single-screw pumps with a double-head spiral rotor and a three-head internal-mesh spiral stator meshing with each other, and individual manufacturers have exhibited large-scale production and sales. There are also a few manufacturing plants in China that are still under development.
The twin-screw pump is driven by a synchronous gear and is connected with two sets of spirals. No contact between the spirals, no mechanical friction, and long service life.
Single-screw pump is a rubber sleeve stator and rotor mesh and use the transmission medium lubrication, friction caused rubber sleeve is easy to damage, the general life of about six months, the transmission of pure lubrication medium is more suitable, if any impurities will greatly reduce the service life.
But its shortcomings are also very obvious: the processing precision is more demanding, which increases the difficulty of processing, especially if the processing accuracy is not enough, it will affect the evenness of the rotor and the stator, so that the above advantages no longer exist; moreover, the processing time is much and the production cost Higher, which is why the current production is less.
Of course, it is also possible to manufacture a single screw pump with a larger number of rotors and stators, such as a three-headed spiral rotor and a two-headed inner-rotor stator, but the requirements for manufacturing accuracy are higher, and the flow rate is not always accompanied. As the number of spiral heads increases, it has little practical significance. Although this type of more helical head rotor and stator meshing pair is not used in a single screw pump, it has been widely used in the field of petroleum machinery screw drilling tools.
